I always hated when owners would say something along the lines of, "I haven't heard any complaints about the food." Maybe it's because they didn't ask?

In anything, really, you have to be truthful with yourself that you are not shitty at something. I'm 28 and just recently started doing that (at 26, mainly when I started playing golf). It has helped tremendously, and is something Ramsey tries to cram into owner's heads a lot.

I think this sort of fits in with all of these, but you simply can't be everything to everyone. You have to be willing to leave some people disappointed if that means keeping others satisfied. I've worked in a number of places that get a kind of tunnel vision going after dissatisfied customers that will probably actually never be happy with the product, only to alienate customers we already had. Maybe that's the Ramsey Rule here: You have to be OK with pissing some people off.
