Paul was born just outside of Sparta, Wisconsin; spent his earliest years just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; returned to the Sparta area to learn to read; and returned to the Milwaukee area for the rest of his grade-school years. He attended Cornell University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In 2003, he moved to Chicago, Illinois.
Paul is involved in a number of websites including BARTANNICA.com, a bar review site; Dappered, a men’s fashion site; and WhyYouAreStupid.com (guess what it’s about). In October of 2007, Paul founded ProlongedInsult.com, a site focused on travel, wine, and literary articles.
