Give it a try! (It's not going to work.) You could delete it if it bothers you ... but it won't work.

Thanks, very helpful. Only problem is that now in Windows 7 when I go into "Manage Wireless Networks I see 2 connections. The old 2Wirexxx which show WEP and the newly made one which shows WPA2. Should I delete the old 2Wirexxx connection in Windows 7?? Seeing it there makes it look like my modem could still be accessed through either one. Could it?

That's odd -- does she have an older computer (she should at least be running Windows XP SP2)?

If that's not it, give WPA (no #2) a try. It's better than WEP, but not quite as good as WPA2.

I recently changed our network settings to WPA2-PSK. Ever since, my roomate has had a dodgy connection. It connects, and she is able to navigate a few pages, and then it will drop the connection. Any thoughts?

WPA is superior to WEP, so I'd go with that. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Protected_Access

"The Wi-Fi Alliance intended WPA as an intermediate measure to take the place of WEP..."

Neat how-to. Alas, the older 2WIRE 1701 HG allows upgrading security
only as far as WPA-PSK, not WPA2-PSK. Any suggestions in that regard?
Just "take it, it's not WPA2, but it's better than WEP"?" Add-on to your
how-to would be welcome, thanks, or just a quick response here :-) .

I've been using CloudFlare for a couple weeks now without any issues. They have been responsive to my questions and concerns. One thing to be careful with is their Beta Programs (Auto Minify & Rocket Loader) as like many such programs they can cause issues.
